Our plan was to be in Wollongong by 12.30, then head to the waterpark. Started off well.We got up on time, got to the car rental place on time. Thats when it went pear shaped! We ordered a manual. But the car rental guy thought he would upgrade us to a automatic. Can anyone
else see whats wrong with this? Well Anthony wasn't a happy camper. He wanted his manual & he wasn't leaving without it! So on went the debate in the shop for 45mins, all eyes on us, as anthony went on a rant. We compromised in the end. If we droped the automatic to the airport we could pick up a manual. So on we went. Picked up our bags & we swapped the car. We decided to stop after about 1.5 hrs for a bite to eat. The phone rings. Who is it, only the car rental company... We never returned the keys for the automatic. When Isay we, I actually mean anthony. So we had to drive back....an extra 3hrs on to our journey. That was the waterpark out the window
We arrived in Wollongong in the afternoon. Pulled up to the hotel. Dodgiest looking joint ever. So much for upgrading to a hotel for the night. Couldnt be as bad as it looked. checked it, then headed out for dinner. I headed to bed while anthony stayed up to watch some TV. I was woken by a little screech fro
m Anthony, only to find him standing on the bed. Something ran over his toes. He put it down to a hair. About half hr later, I went to go to the bathroom. As I turned around I froze. Right above anthony was this massive cockroach. He just knew by the look on my face so he jumped up. the cockroach fell just were his head was. i then look to the floor and there is another one heading towards my bare toes. Screams!! We thought we could stick it out. So 2.30am (5mins later), we gave up & headed for the car. 23 degrees outside. 3.00am we gave that up & decided to check in to hotel Ibis. So $160 later, we had a nice comfortable sleep
