The Campervan

Anto and I went to pick up the campervan, as Gerry was working. When we arrived we could see the van we were to get. I paniced a little as I didnt think there was enough room for the 3 of us. When I booked it, it said 3 adults. When I read the brochure, it said 2 adults & 1 child. Also Gerry was bringing his surfboard and guitar!! However, luck was on our side that day. We had a lovely little German man serve us. He told me he had a little bit of luxery for me!! Boy, did he. He drove around the corner with a monster size van. We couldn't believe our eyes...it surely wasn't for us. it was...he gave us a quick tour. It even had a shower and toilet. (We never used the toilet as we argued over who was going to clean it, not me!!) We rang Gerry and wound him up. We told him we wouldnt fit his surfboard in. When we arrived at Ger's house, we honked the horn and he came out. He thought the local football team had arrived.

We did a big shop and hit the road sat at 7am. We had 20 days to get to Darwin....
