Laurence (my bro) finally arrived in Melbourne after 3 months of travelling. Lar left Ireland in Feb head bound for Oz. He travelled with the Oz bus across Europe, Asia and onto Australia. We got to meet his travel buddies. Quite a lively bunch!! Some of the stories I heard.....I wouldnt repeat. I wish I hadnt been privy to some of the details! Thats a pic of some of the lads dressed as ladies (for the free champagne).
So me & the bro (Lar & I) went sight seeing for the day! I brought him shopping, to St kilda for the beach & best cake (ever), up the Euerka skyscrapper (tallest residential building in southern hemisphere, we were 88 floors up). Of course I made him a nice cuppa! We got a good feed in De' Graves lane. and we even squeezed in a movie, to help nurse the hangovers!! Then back to the hostel for some cheap booze, where we moshed the night away (well i moshed, lar had some good moves. Think i embarrassed him slightly).
Yo Lar - you have gone all around the world and not one picture have we seen - 5mins in Melbourne and already we have sightseeing pictures of you - yeah for Babs Blog!! Its good to see your old mug - you look 'all grown up'!! Hope you have the craic with Babs and Anto.
Im from Dublin and Anthony is from Offaly. We left Ireland on the 30th June 2007. since then we have travelled across the USA, down New Zealand and on to Australia. We lived in Sydney and Melbourne for a bit and and are now in Perth. Looks like we'll be here for the long haul..due to the 'R' word, but we won't mention that here.
